The BCMess is at it again.

Here we are, a new year and the same old crap going on in college football. We have ourselves a very touchy situation going on with at the very least 3 teams wanting or deserving a shot at the national championship title.

Which 3 you ask? Texas, Utah and the winner of the BCS Championship Game between Florida and Oklahoma.

Utah? What do you mean Utah?

I mean this:

Utah has finished their season undefeated 13-0. Their last win coming in the Sugar Bowl against the once heralded Alabama Crimson Tide.

Utah has beaten 5 top 25 ranked teams and 6 bowl teams this season. I am guessing that because they play in the Mountain West Conference, this is why they are not getting any love at all. It is tough for a hard drive to recognize a conference if it hasn't been programmed to do so.

What about the cases for the other 2 teams?

Texas lost to Texas Tech during the regular season.
Florida lost to Ole Miss early in the season.
Oklahoma Lost to Texas by 10 points on a neutral field.

After seeing the Utes destroy Alabama on national television, do you really think the winner of the Florida/Oklahoma game wants to play them for the trophy? I don't care if it is Florida or Oklahoma.

Texas is whining because they only lost one game, and they won their BCS bowl game against Ohio St. (in the final minute of the game, but a win is a win).

The only shot of a national championship Utah has is the AP poll. The voters of that poll are not bound by the outcome of the BCS Championship game. That sounds really nice and all, but at best it would only be a moral victory. The trophy will rest in someone else's case, and that is just not fair.

For the last time........take the decision off of a hard drive and let it all happen on the grid iron.

Has anyone seen my mother board?????

Ahhhh.......the beauty of a hope for a Y2K9 computer bug.
