Over the past year I have not given any attention to two of the major sports...Basketball and Hockey. I do apologize for this, but it seems as though nobody cares. That being said, both sports are reaching the half way point of their respective seasons. I figured now was a good time to bring you up to date as to where the sports stand as of today.
If the playoffs started today(that would actually be a good thing because then the seasons might actually end before Memorial Day) here's who is in for both sports.
NHL:
Eastern Conference: Flyers, Rangers, 'Canes, Bruins, Capitals, Devils, Canadians and Sabres.
Western Conference: Sharks, Red Wings, Flames, Black Hawks, Canucks, Ducks, Wild and Coyotes.
NBA:
Eastern Conference: Cavs, Celtics, Magic, Hawks, Pistons, Heat, Nets and Bucks
Western Conference: Lakers, Spurs, Nuggets, Hornets, Mavericks, Trail Blazers, Rockets and Suns.
What to watch for over the next few months? See if Cleveland can hold on to home court advantage in the NBA. See if the Black Hawks can actually make some noise in the overly lengthy playoffs in the NHL.
Again, I am sorry I just don't care much for either sport until the playoffs begin, but I guess they deserve some respect.
Does anyone know what channel the outdoor life network is on Cox Cable? Perhaps if they played hockey outdoors, more people would watch....oh wait a minute there are a couple of teams that play in Florida...that just wouldn't work now would it?
Ahhh.....the beauty of water polo
