The Heart of a Tiger

Yes, I know how the old saying goes, but it may be time to re-visit the axiom. I watched in awe this week as I saw Tiger keep within striking distance in the U.S. Open. There were a couple of times where I felt as though my knee was hurting...(oh wait it was (torn meniscus)). I digress...Tiger has shown yet again, that if he is in the hunt, he will find a way to win.

I have to give a ton of props to Rocco. He gave Tiger everything he could handle. He could have closed up shop when he was three shots back, and yet he just kept coming. Those three straight birdies on the back nine were impressive to say the least. Rocco even had a chance to win the championship outright on the eighteenth hole, but it was not to be. Not this time. Perhaps next year, the monster of golf that is the Black Course at Bethpage (by the way, notice the word black, not pink or mauve nor sea foam green) will tame this Tiger, but then again, maybe not. It couldn't the last time he played it.

Ahh........ the beauty of total domination of your craft.
